the problem
For decades, the construction industry has prioritized human needs, often neglecting the well-being of the planet and depleting resources unsustainably.
The sector is a major contributor to environmental pollution, responsible for 38% of global CO2 emissions, consuming half of all raw materials, and generating nearly a third of the EU’s waste. Circular construction is still developing, particularly for inert materials like bricks, stones, and cement, which make up over 90% of demolition waste.
